Ladies & Gentlemen...
Introducing.. XiaoMei in Desperate Housewives
GWENDOLINE YEO was born and raised on the tiny island nation of Singapore and moved to the United States as a teenager. She received her BA from UCLA before the age of 20, as well as receiving a diploma in Classical Piano from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Her love of music led her to specialize in playing the Chinese Long Zither ("gu-zheng") . Gwendoline was crowned Miss Chinatown USA in 1998/9 which led her to hosting & commercials. From there, her TV & film career blossomed.
Gwendoline cleans up on primetime as XiaoMei on this second season of ABC's DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES. She stirs a good pot, returning in season 3 as a series regular.
