Demand and Supply

I received a couple of emails about singers preparing for their new albums. Eason, Alan Tam, Elva, Lin Fan, Zhang Zhao Han...and some new comers.

Writing is easy but writing something that people want, is difficult.
We always like to comment that the album has only 2 or 3 nice songs. We always forget the effort the A and R team put together for the creative work. Or just maybe they are trying too hard to create a special product until they niche themselves out of it. In another case, follow the previous winning formula and travel on the safe side.

I bought F.I.R.'s new album about a month ago. I listened to it only twice and then, it found its way in the book shelf. Why? It sounded like the first one. The effort with the London Orchestra was a total waste of money. My investment in F.I.R's new album was a total waste of my already limited resource. And so is Jolin's new album. Yes, the mouse and tiger thing is catchy but, its really for primary school kids. All the other songs follow the same formula as the 2 previous album. Very lame.

Anyway, i still manage to write something for this new comer. As usual, dunno if they might wanna use. Her name is Tong En and sound a bit of crossover of Tanya and Yang Nai Wen. This is part of the lyrics...

可惜我不適合體會﹐感情世界中的淒美﹐你也附上真愛來作賠。
看你眼中的疲憊﹐不想你做我的傀儡,決心離開讓你去飛。
