Sore Looser
Okay. Its confirmed. My lyrics for Sandy Lam is not used.
However they will name the song 相信 and inside, she will sing xx 相信。I couldn't believe it! Again this happened to me. This was the instructions given to me ...
<目前關於"相信"的詞,我們之前有發給一位老師寫,但是sandy和a&r真的真的覺得原來的詞也是相當的好。我們都很喜歡"相信"這個concept。想請問kevin老師有沒有興趣再作修改及比搞呢??>

The first, was this song for this new HK singer 鄧穎芝。The first line of the lyrics i wrote is 黑白健指縫間分明。And when the song is out, the new lyrics is 貓踩上黑白鋼琴健。DO NOT tell me the 黑白鋼琴健 is coincidental. Anyway, both songs are done by 李思松。I respect 偉松 a lot cause he has always been a friend and always so supportive. For his brother 思松.... sigh..

I have to admit im not that good. At least for Sandy's case, i was given a chance to change.
My friends in the music industry told me that this Always happen. Since there is no justice, may the people who reads my blog finds it interesting on how the music industry works, and also, share some sympathy for me. No need to be angry also.

But heads up! I am not going to tell you that your talents will be appreciated one day because I dunno how the entertainment industry operates (it seems so evil...) BUT I know that you have real talents... Persevere and you may succeed but throw in the towel and you are a loser instantly...
So dun give up okay...

大胆采用新人，都是一些作曲，写词，编曲一手包办的新生代音乐创作人。在我选DEMO的过程中，吸引我的可能是与众不同的MELODY,IDEA OR ARRANGEMENT."
At least she willing to give newcomers a chance.
Your rearrangement of Paris under the skies is full of "REVENGEFUL FEEL", as if you are holding a knife and stabbing the person who copy your idea. I can almost imagine it.
But very tasteful indeed!

oh yah.. sandy mention when she juz hear d至少还有你demo, she didn't think it was going to be "BIG". It was only after the arrangement was done, lyrics done, she grew to love the song. the music was done by LMF fellow. I've interviewed him before, his demo was very rock not like the love ballad we heard now. this was his very first 商业作品. Till now, haven't heard any other composition from him besides the earlier LMF's album.

I saw him spending nites conceptualizing the ideas (rejected so many times by his boss), preparing the presentation sacrificing his sleep the nite b4 it. in the end , client rejected them. in the end, when they saw the final product, it's so similar to his ideas. but the client is always right. they will give excuse as , "oh , 英雄所见略同"."
There are a lot of such nasty people, not only in entertainment industry. Their efforts wasted, their ideas gone (4ever cannot reuse) and they are not paid a single cent.

Nothing goes all wrong as long as you persevere. Time is a crucial test, take up the challenge and keep on writing. Look at the song writers now, which one of them wrote and gain instant recognition??
Not to mention, you need loads of luck and timing on top of your talent. Just like if someone submitted a piece to them and they happened to see it first and like it, there goes ur chance... cos in their heart, they've already made a decision. No matter how wonderful the other compositions are, they will only take that as a "spare". So, don't despair and work even harder.
Remember, talent + luck = success. One day you will have ur song inside, trust me!
